The actual poll is hidden behind a paywall, so this article will have to do.

From the article: "Rasmussen Reports asked 1,000 likely voters, “How do you rate the way President Biden has handled the Russian aggression towards Ukraine?” Nearly two-thirds, a full 64 percent, rated him negatively: “fair” (15 percent) and “poor” (49 percent.)

Only 31 percent rated Slow Joe’s handling of the crisis as “excellent” (16 percent) or “good” (15 percent).

On the overall issue of handling national security, a majority of 51 percent rate Biden as straight-up “poor,” while another 13 percent rate him “fair” Only 33 percent rated Biden as “excellent” (18 percent) or “good” (15 percent).

These numbers must be something close to a record low for a U.S. president in the early stages of an international crisis. Throughout modern history, Americans have rallied around the flag and our commander-in-chief during these difficult moments. The creep of time can eventually undermine this support. But in the early days, we tend to give the president every benefit of the doubt."

Count me in as one of the sixty-four percent!

In defense of Biden, what can he really do? The last thing we need is to send troops over there. If only we can start producing our own energy again we wouldn't need to go begging to Russia or the Middle East. The question is, what is going to happen with all the sanctions when we here in the states are feeling more pain than Russia? Joe tells us it is coming and it is the price of Freedom... UGH. Thanks Joe.

There is this from the article: "But in the early days, we tend to give the president every benefit of the doubt."

The early days were last January when his first day on the job he signed all those EO's that stopped everything that was working for America out of spite for Trump. Biden had the benefit of the doubt that he would operate as a moderate grandfather but what we have instead is a dementia addled fool that is pushed around by the extreme Progressives while swaying to the will of the Polls.

Biden is the worse and we have another 3 years of this Flea Circus.

i would disagree with the thread headline and go with the 49% figure, as I would put "fair" in the same category as "okay" or "acceptable".

When I first read the headline, I was encouraged -- only to feel let down after I read your post.

“Minor incursion”. I said at the time he more or less gave Putin permission to attack the Ukraine. The Ukrainians sure didn’t get their money’s worth from Hunter Biden.

The President is dead set against sending US troops to the Ukraine, but sanctions are clearly NOT working. And if the Neo-Soviets start slaughtering civilians in mass (like in ages past), he will have no choice but to put boots on the ground.

Acting like a Leader rather than some smug bump on the log would be a great start.

In the "Early Days" people have at least some respect for the President. This President is barely respected by his own party, let alone Independents and Republicans. Yes, you can RESPECT a person even if you don't agree with them.

So Ukraine took guns, is now passing them out to defend Ukraine, and will they ask for them back?
