Democrats went after Barr during HW Bush and went harder when he accused the DOJ and Obama administration of spying. So now Democrats are quoting Barr? LOL

Former US attorney general Bill Barr has unleashed a volley of criticism at Donald Trump in his new book, saying the ex-president has “shown he has neither the temperament nor persuasive powers to provide the kind of positive leadership that is needed” and that the Republican party should move on from him.

In One Damn Thing After Another, Mr Barr writes that his former boss could have won the 2020 election if he had “just exercised a modicum of self-restraint, moderating even a little of his pettiness”

Add Trump's continuing "praising" toward Putin and his self-adulation and it is really time to move on.... ?

Self-adulation definition - the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's importance.
"a pathetic display of pompous self-adulation".

* So do you still feel that former President Trump really is the main or only true person worthy to be GOP top/only choice for being the next President, given how so many of his inner-circle are saying otherwise??
The bit about Trump winning in '20 if he had acted a little less childish is correct.

It is past time to move on.

^^^ This exactly. He had to have seen what many of us not close to the president saw. But he helped facilitate it. Now he wants to play whistleblower when he's out of office? I don't honestly care whether what he says is true or not, it just seems unethical or at the very least sleazy and opportunistically self-interested. Where was the pushback when it would have meant something?

You can say that again! I had no respect for Barr. He supported Trump while in office. And NOW he says there were problems? Geeze.

Exactly. Just goes to show how many of Trump's "yes men" were hanging around for the grift.

All these people that were close to him knew Donald was a fool and an idiot...yet all the Trump supporters out there still (foolishly) think Trump is smart and competent LOL.

WaPo also has detailed coverage -

https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...rr-trump-2024/

My only thought - 'you're preaching to the choir.'

It was plain as day, a few months after inauguration, the country and principle always came second to Trump's personal interests. Trump would relentlessly endeavor to scorch and burn regardless of consequences - if it benefitted him.

Anyone who worked for Trump is permanently besmirched and diminished. This is Barr's attempt to rehabilitate his reputation (and make $$).

Too little, way too late. Sleep with dogs, you get fleas.

At last Barr gets honest with the American people. All the time he was carrying out Trump's bidding he was probably thinking this.
