and the media (aside from fox) never call him out on this whopper.
Quote:
Biden says it over and over again. Here’s a sampling over the past year:

-“We’ve turned the tide on a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. And families are beginning to be able to breathe just a little bit easier.”
-“Look, when we came to office, we knew we were facing a once-in-a-century pandemic and a once-in-a-generation economic crisis.”
-“When I was sworn in as president, the nation was struggling to pull out of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.”
In his State of the Union, Biden claimed that his “American Rescue Plan” was one of the “few pieces of legislation” to have “done more at a critical moment in our history to lift us out of a crisis.”

This is a lie. A big fat lie. A big fat Biden-sized lie.

If President Donald Trump were to repeatedly claim a phony economic crisis, the media would preface each statement with “Trump’s false claim that …” – if they were feeling generous. Instead, they give Biden a pass.

The country was not in an economic crisis, or a crisis of any kind, when Biden took office.

It is a crisis now, however, thanks to what Biden has done since taking office.
It's Time to Kill This Big Fat Biden Lie Once And For All

What was the unemployment rate in January 2021? 6.3%

Is that a recovered economy?

Remember -- previous administration took great pride in their impact on the unemployment rate.

When they took office it was 4.7 and went down to 3.5

Biden started at 6.3 and is now at 3.9?

it's certainly not one that's in crisis, as xoe insists repeatedly.

My energy bill has doubled since Dec. My income has not. His talk about the economy makes me ill. I don't want to imagine how much worse this could become in a few months.

Everyone I know isn’t happy with the economy, it hurt to fill my car up with gas yesterday and I’m not the only one. Everything is going up, food, toiletries, utilities etc…. I honestly can’t think of one thing positive Biden has done for the country. Some will say at least he isn’t Trump which is a silly reason if the one in office now is hurting the country economically and security which is what Biden is doing.

world wide supply chain still disrupts local areas, normal way of statistics useless except for super politicized fringe, which of course is the bread and butter of POC city-data

Using the unemployment rate to determine if the economy is healthy is analogous to declaring a car to be safe and roadworthy because it has brand new tires - ignoring the fact that the brakes are shot. Unemployment is only one factor in what makes an economy healthy. Politicians love to tout unemployment because its easy to understand. It means nothing without the context of inflation, GDP, etc. The previous administration assumed office pre-pandemic and left office during the pandemic. The current administration took office in the middle of a pandemic and now that pandemic is rapidly subsiding. Therefore, comparing start/finish unemployment rates (or many other economic measures) is apples to oranges.

Bidet lies about everything from graduating at the top of his class to driving an 18 wheeler to being put in jail with Nelson Mandela. Do people not remember why he ended his presidential campaign in 1988?

True.

Q4 2020 the economy was mostly, but definitely not fully, recovered from COVID scare. Full recover was Q2 2021. Nothing really to do with Biden but pretty normal for Presidents to claim credit for good economies.
Right now we're beginning to see the effects of the bad monetary and public policies put in place under Trump and continued by Biden. To much helicopter monetary policies for too long and we're seeing some inflation. I'm surprised it took this long.
