It's $3.93-$4.17 over here in Calvert. That was yesterday, I didn't look when I went out this morning.

Some of them are pretty fast, but the limited range needs to get better as does the charging time. I think it might be 5-10 years before a good lithium-ion battery is developed that charges in under 20 minutes.

The other thing to consider is the cost of battery replacement. Eventually the charging capacity declines and replacement costs can run into the $10K to even $20K range.

It will be some time before I could ever seriously consider an EV.
I only drive 50 miles a week and never more than 30 miles from home.

Gas has been going up since before this Ukraine fiasco.
But the media/government is right there telling you that gas is going up because of Russia.

Not true. Biden started changing our policies on oil the day he took office.
This is the consequences of his actions. We are still importing oil from Russia so it's not due to that.

For some of us that isn't an option. I live too far from work for walking to be a viable option. And with the weather getting warmer, it really won't be an option. My office is in a walkable area. The apartments in those areas are much more expensive, and this is if you can get one. Plenty of housing shortages to consider. Many people live too far from work to drive. And many don't have the option to work remote.

Our price in SW FLA for gas and milk are about the same $3.95/gal for regular 87 octane as of 3-5-22

Over a dollar a gallon since Biden became President. Another 75 cents in the last few days. Close to $2 per gallon since Biden became President.

There are stations over $6.50 here now. So that would make it almost 3 dollars higher in the last year.

There are those who will say that you should have planned your life better and that you are, in fact, part of the problem by being so car dependent.
