Indiana, iowa, and Washington State. Just goes to show that this woke cancer has metastasized everywhere.

Of course not. It’s just that Catholic families are less likely to go the abortion route so the numbers of teen pregnancies seems higher.

It clearly could not be "weaponized" against the LGBTQ families who are aware of their situation, and have explained it to their children the way they choose to. Couldn't be weaponized against kids that might think/decide/realize they're LGBTQ and their parents know it.

The amendment that proposed requiring them to tell parents within 6 weeks if a kid "came out" was killed off. There's language that says (paraphrasing) "If a reasonable person would believe telling the parents would be harmful for the child, you don't have to tell."

But I must wonder - if a child expressed suicidal or violent thoughts in school, is it reasonable for the parents to know so that they can work towards solving it? Surely, it's not to be hidden at the schools, with unaware parents. So, what makes the child's current sexual orientation any different?

DeSantis Got Pressured by a Major Corporation and Told Them No

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis received a phone call this week from Bob Chapek, the CEO of Disney. Chapek asked DeSantis to veto the Parental Rights in Education bill, which bars teachers from instructing children under the age of eight about sex.

...
DeSantis took the call from Chapek and then firmly stood his ground in support of the legislation.

...
Disney is the largest corporation in the state, where Disney World is located, and DeSantis didn't budge. He also called the corporation out for their business in China.

... and he went on the offensive for them dealing w/ China.
Hope DiSantis loses his shirt, he has already lost his mind. Come on Mickey. Get all your contractors to side with you. There are so many businesses attached to the parks and movies etc. The industry will get behind Disney.

Why is Disney interested in teaching children about sex?

Why are adults so intensely and disturbingly fixated on supporting and championing the sexualization of K-3 grade children?

It's certainly pulling them all out of the woodwork isn't it.

Just imagine if this issue turns political and Republican families boycott DisneyWorld. The park will fold.

Please tell me the benefit of allowing teachers to discuss sexual issues to kids under 8.

Fla has been very supportive to the gay and LBGT etc. groups since the Orange juice lady, Anita Bryant pitched a fit in the 80’s. The Pulse Night Club shooting untied Fl and many others with the community. Now DiSantis is trying to put all these freedoms back in a bottle. It’s going to explode. Disney better team up. It’s to their advantage. You all let corporations lead in the law making business. Well the coin just might flip.
