You're missing the point of my post.
While it might be true that they did it for 'woke' reasons, helmet laws are, by nature, gov overreach, and removing them lean libertarian. So - jokes on who, really?
The only offense anyone can be charged with in Seattle is some kind of racial or gender pronoun nonsense. Murder is okay now in Seattle as long as it's not the wrong racial or LGBT designee being murdered.
Is there a particular reason that black people can't wear a bike helmet? An anatomy problem of some sort?
If it's something to do with economics, if you can afford a bike, you can afford a cheap bike helmet. I really don't see a "racial" excuse here. What? bike helmets don't match darker skin???
All that being said, it should be a personal choice anyway. Nothing to do with race.
When I first read the title I thought it might have to do with hair, then thought surely not its economics, but it is opportunistic which makes me question, if more black people are pulled over for not wearing their seatbelts will they drop the seat belt law as being racist?
