Companies should focus on the core of their business only. In the case of Disney World it should be to welcome all customers as valued guest and provide them with the best service possible. They should stay out of politics that don’t directly effect their business.
IMO I think it's pushed on them by government.
Just look at how all companies now have "diversity training".
The government decides and then pushes it out to companies.
They can dictate it internally.
This kind of stuff is happening more and more often.

It is extremely frustrating to hear the repetition of "don't say gay" as if that is what the bill is about. It is disingenuous.
Society today is not becoming MORE tolerant, it is becoming SIGNIFICANTLY less tolerant.

As for Disney, corporations exist to make money for shareholders. Focus on making money. Stay the hell away from politics.

When I graduated in the 80's there were 35 females out of 300 graduates from the College of Engineering at my University.
Companies need to realize that if they take a strong stance one way they may alienate employees and customers whose religious and political beliefs may run counter to the company’s hardline stance. It’s made worse when it makes employees feel threatened.
I'm pretty sure Disney employees are very aware of LGBTQ concerns just by virtue of working for Disney and are either supportive or don't care one way or the other. My father worked for Disney for years after he retired from his primary career, and many of the cast members he supervised were LGBTQ.
