They do know, they do realize, but they are too financially dependent on the game to buck the rules.

IMO I think it's pushed on them by government.

Just look at how all companies now have "diversity training".
The government decides and then pushes it out to companies.
They can dictate it internally.

When it counts though they do not "bend the knee".

"Not enough women in tech"
"Not enough Blacks in tech"

Your sex/gender/skin color means nothing to tech. It's your brains.

This.

Also what if women don't want to be in tech? Tech is a male dominated profession and nursing is a female dominated profession. So what?

As for Disney, corporations exist to make money for shareholders. Focus on making money. Stay the hell away from politics.

Yes I know. Retired software engineer here, female as well. In many of my EE classes I was the sole female.
When I graduated in the 80's there were 35 females out of 300 graduates from the College of Engineering at my University.

Companies need to realize that if they take a strong stance one way they may alienate employees and customers whose religious and political beliefs may run counter to the company’s hardline stance. It’s made worse when it makes employees feel threatened.
I'm pretty sure Disney employees are very aware of LGBTQ concerns just by virtue of working for Disney and are either supportive or don't care one way or the other. My father worked for Disney for years after he retired from his primary career, and many of the cast members he supervised were LGBTQ.

A new poll in Florida’s Democratic gubernatorial primary has found that a majority of Democratic voters agree with Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and GOP lawmakers in efforts to prohibit school districts and classroom teachers from providing lessons about sexual orientation and gender identity in school.

The very sad thing is that media and government don't really care what the people think.

The government does not serve us anymore; we live to serve the government.

Most normal people put being a parent to their children first, not the "D" label and adhere to the party's policies.

Interesting. Perhaps because they are worried about a narrative that would delegitimize the existence or value of LGBTQ people?
