In other words, it's being suggested that the co-equal Judicial Branch of our federal government be put under control of the Legislative Branch.
His wife can do whatever she wants. He, however, has a clear conflict of interests and needs to recuse himself from anything having to do with his wife's political activities.
It's racist and a homage to White Privilege to suggest Thomas should recuse himself.
He supposed to recluse from any case she supports. And I posted the ethics rules. To even think he might influence or be influenced-just the optics makes it a no no. He knows this.

The news concerning the Ginni Thomas texts to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows shows that she adopted some extreme right-wing views and was angling for overturning the results of the 2020 election. At the very least her texts to the White House raise the appearance of bias on the court as to the Trump administration.
The person making that statement was Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Maybe Justice Thomas will exercise this hyper-vigilance.
