As democrat politicians fancy themselves as authoritarian aristocrats, more like medieval royalty than elected representatives of the people, Mayor Lightfoot is using ONE HUNDRED Chicago police for her personal protection.
This, of course, is happening while murder rates in Chicago approach casualty rates in foreign wars on a weekly basis. Imagine what 100 police could do if they were out patrolling areas, trying to keep the public safe, rather than devoting their time to one idiot democrat?
"Rules for thee, but not for me" is the mantra of the hypocritical left. The nation will be a far, far better place when we can eliminate the plague of liberalism that has infested the nation.
Well mayor lightfoot just says that 99% of criticism about her is because she's a black lesbian woman.
However, she is not a biologist so she cannot claim the criticism is because she's a woman (and hence lesbian) so that halves her already bad argument.
What's worse is that Chicago's violence has spilled over to other parts of the state including the "Quad Cities" which are on the Mississippi river (2 in Iowa, 2 in Illinois). Unheard of or at least a blue moon event 30 years ago they now have drive-bys.
Ive said this before on other threads...when supposed publicly elected politicians require protection from the public...that should be a big red flag!
Its interesting if you look back thru US history, at one point President Lincoln left the front door of the Whitehouse open, so citizens could come over to discuss their concerns if they wanted to...
*There were threats against Lincoln just as there are threats today, so no different in that regard.
Its very obvious that as time goes by, our 'elected officials' become less and less accessible to the public, (probably a good reason for that too)

While no fan of Lightfoot, the ^ count includes officers assigned to city hall. Her personal bodyguard detail is 20 officer who provide 24/7 security.
Her personal detail includes 20 officers who provide 24/7 protection.
Nothing anti- police about this mayor. She opposes “ defund the police” thing, for raises for police and increased the number.
She is opposed to crooked and/ or lazy cops and this puts her in the crosshairs with the union who defends bad cops.
If she chooses to run for a second term next year, it’s unlikely she will win the primary.
LOL...Yea she never wanted to defund the police...
20 cops on 24/7 protection give her an average of about 4 cops at all times. That would be in addition to the protection, she has while she is in City Hall. I think you have just hit on the definition of "lazy".
I am sure that these cops are being put to much better use standing around than they would be actually on the street patrolling.
There are nearly 100 murder suspects out on bail in Chicago. Out of the nearly 800 murders in 2020 only 81 have been solved.
She fights the police every chance she get.
