It's a lot more often than "annual".
The $1.3 trillion bill that just got passed to help Ukraine....
$13 billion went to Ukraine..over $800 billion went to the Pentagon and the rest..welfare programs

I'm definitely torn on the military spending. On one hand it seems like our country spends WAY to much. On the other hand, I know many designers, engineers, and fabricators that work in the military manufacturing industry. So, no money being spent on new development means those people will be jobless.
So Biden’s budget is about a trillion smaller. But that doesn’t fit the narrative, so it wasn’t reported.
and the FY22's budget (current year) isn't mentioned either, since it was a CR, with the rescues, plus the infrastructure, and finalized last week with the omnibus totaling 9 trillion'ish

That is the rub. How much spending is needed and what happens to those in sectors deemed not needed. And is it the government's responsibility to assist the 1000s that would be let go through reductions in spending?
What happened to the "moderate" Joe Biden that was on the campaign trail (albeit from the basement)?
From the article: "The president laid out the tax hikes as part of his $5.8 trillion budget blueprint for federal spending in fiscal 2023, which begins in October. Under his proposal, taxes would rise by $2.5 trillion, marking the largest increase in history in dollar terms. The deficit would be $1.15 trillion."
I guess this was released at the same time as the "wealth" tax proposal, but hasn't received the same amount of attention. Gee, can't imagine why...
The idiocy is amazing, yet predictable.
Only a fool would jack up federal expenditures and increase the amount of money in circulation with record inflation.
Can ANY DEMOCRAT please tell us how such an infusion of cash would not make inflation worse?

Is military spending a sort of Jobs program?
It's just another aspect of manufacturing, one we can't offshore. Are we doing it to support the jobs....I really don't think so. Although, I'm sure there are some pretty sketchy deals made on Capitol hill by defense lobby, to make sure we have the latest and greatest hardware.
