Oreo Cookie confused many on Monday when the company behind "Milk's favorite cookie" released a short film detailing a young man's experience coming out as gay .
The video is roughly 2 1/2 minutes long and shows a young Asian man preparing to come out to his extended family.
He is visibly nervous and practices making the big announcement with his mother and immediate family.
Hydrox makes a better cookie anyway, if you can find them.
I was wondering what today's outrage would be. Thanks, OP. I have no desire to watch the video you posted, but the link did get Oreo and Nabisco's name in the media today.
What is Oreo/Nabisco trying to distract you from? They're pushing an agenda, that's it.
It's more like culture-camoflauge.
They want to show how woke they are so the mob of twitter twits and thot-tokers don't try to boycott them etc.
People after a certain age are largely set in their brands so they're trying to push commercials aimed at young people to show they *care* about diversity blah blah blah in order to sell them stuff.
They really don't give a brown log about the woke stuff, they're just trying to make money.
It does remind me of a joke by my favorite comedian though.
“My dental hygienist is cute. Every time I visit, I eat a whole package of Oreo cookies while waiting in the lobby. Sometimes she has to cancel the rest of the afternoon's appointments.”

I actually don't think it's as simple as making money. I also don't buy that they're "going woke" to prevent a Twitter mob attack - especially since they did nothing to warrant that in the first place.
I really think that a lot of the CEOs of these mega-large companies, all go to the same cocktail parties etc and have decided to push an agenda by force on the American people. I don't see how these woke commercials will give them more business - except by engaging in controversy. But they can engage in controversy by going anti-woke as well or something else.
