Florida is a lot like California, with its unaffordable housing, massive underclass of agricultural workers, extreme inequality, drug trafficking, etc.

There are no actual Marxists anywhere in the USA. On the Left, it’s all identity politics now, which actually divides the “proletariat” against itself. The capitalists couldn’t be happier. Major corporations are actually imposing Left wing policies on their employees.

Just read how Hogan called DeSantis out for this stupid war with Disney. He mentioned everything I’ve been saying ,

Should he choose to run, he won’t have any problems fundraising. Some just want to think/hope he will.

So exactly how bad is the humidity there?
It’s bad. You melt the moment step out. Ac in your home 24/7 or it will grow, with mildew. We have our bad areas, but much smaller and millions of tourists each year.

Having Skynyrd writing songs for you is quite a big caper, one of my all-time favorite bands.
So many R&R legends have come out of FL, from Miami to Jacksonville.

That said, while their state legislature is mostly moderate to conservative and dominated by (R's), and they have not had a (D) as governor since the 1990's (back when Democrats were still normal and sane), DeSantis almost lost to the crack smoking, male prostitute frequenting, Gillum.

If you look up Gillum's pictures, you will see a close resemblance to the Hunter Biden photos, with him naked and unconscious on the floor with dope everywhere.
The only difference is that Hunter is into female prostitutes, and Gillum is into male ones.

The point being that tons of liberal/leftist snowbirds have invaded south Florida over the years, and with such a large population base from places like NY/NY/CT, they can almost swing the state for losers like Gillum.
I'd bet most of the kooks that voted for Gillum would do so again, despite knowing what a loser Gillum turned out to be, and how well DeSantis has been doing.

DeSantis campaigns in IOWA and other states. He gets his Fanny pac filled from them. He is not loyal to Fl. His backers are mostly his good old boys from Jacksonville and the transplant left-over trumpists. The kids will be old enough to vote in 24. They don’t like him.

I think the terms used today (marxism, libs, commies, etc) deny and ignore the very wide swath of people who are actually not even close to what others call them.

Conservatives tend to think anyone who isn't just like them is not American, is dangerous, is "a lib," or any of the other pejorative terms tossed out. What that proves is they have zero knowledge of history or understand ideology, and are parroting what they hear on TeeVee.

The fact so many only see one extreme or the other proves how disingenuous and manipulative people are, and how gullible most are for following it.

Those terms have been commandeered to now mean: "anyone who doesn't agree with my (of course correct) viewpoint is a (commie, marxist, lib, blah blah blah)."

Dislike liberal ideas and policies? Then give up your current or future Medicare and social security benefits, as those are the policies of 'libs' in the past, to protect 'muricans. Stop taking money from the government, and "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps," as the conservative rallying cry goes. Anything else is an excuse, as the country's been told.

We really did not have any problems. Most were peaceful protests. But can’t tell them that, they will swear they sunk Fl into the ocean.
