In the old days when photography first appeared, loved ones would often prop corpses up like that for pictures with the family, as well as for the funeral. Can you imagine standing perfectly still for a picture standing next to a corpse? They liked to dress them up and make it appear as if they were participating in their favorite past time or hobby. That's what this reminded me of.
Do corpses bother you? I've had to bag a few when I was involved in the medical profession, so maybe I am desensitized. As far as I'm concerned, this is all part of the cycle of life, and we all honor the passing of our loved ones the way we or they prefer. There's a lot of disgusting things going on in the world. This one doesn't bother me, so long as no one was hurt, violated, etc. Thousands of years ago, pharaohs were sometimes buried with their living spouses. Now that would be something to complain about...
It is odd, and a bit creepy but if people wanted to attend then is it really that much of a stretch from an "open casket"?
I am actually a bit more disturbed at this part.

On Sunday, the rapper’s friends and family gathered at Bliss, a Washington, D.C., nightclub to honor his memory at $40 a pop, according to Hot97.com.
I don't think I have ever seen a funeral or a Memorial Service with a Cover Charge. I wonder if they also had a 2 drink minimum.
The Democrat base turned out for this macabre display. But, it appears the Hennesy and Colt45 was flowing as the tunes played and the corpse dangled there. Unbelievable.
