Rapper Busta Rhymes, who will headline an event Sunday evening for Gov.-elect Phil Murphy, was accused of ethnic and homophobic slurs during an argument at a New York City gym in 2015.
“You don’t know who I am! I’m Busta Rhymes! I’m the real n–ga! You’re a f–king f–got, you are a p–sy! You are a Mexican crossing the border to come to this country, I will f–k you up,” Rhymes said, according to a witness.
Rhymes was arrested for throwing a bottle of muscle milk at a gym employee — a second-degree assault charge. He pleaded guilty to harassment and was sentenced to attend anger management classes.
Murphy tweeted the news of Rhymes’ appearance this afternoon, eight hours after the POLITCO Playbook first pointed out Rhymes’ history of assault charges.
Phil and Tammy Murphy founded and funded 2nd Floor, a confidential and anonymous helpline for kids and young adults in New Jersey — an organization that appears to have made a significant impact on peoples lives. That’s why it was surprising to learn from Matt Friedman in Politico Playbook this morning that Busta Rhymes, a rapper with a “history of assault charges” will perform at Murphy’s inaugural concert Sunday at Middlesex County College.
This isn’t very consistent with the type of candidate Murphy tried to be.
Since this website is particularly lenient when t comes to second chances and a strong belief in the opportunity for redemption, there is a level of violence to Rhymes’ legal history that remains startling.
Politically, this isn’t the smartest move to open an administration. Middlesex County has built their recent successes – they delivered Murphy a 30,000-vote plurality after Chris Christie carried the county twice – by figuring out how to appeal to middle class families that had been rapidly losing. This isn’t the right county to bring in a controversial rapper whose hit singles include “I Love My *****.”
Some reporter is going to ask Murphy to explain this, and the new Governor can go in a few different directions on this. Hopefully Murphy say something like: “You want an inaugural concert, run for Governor.”
Murph is promoting everything the dems claim they oppose. Only with the help of the media can murphy pull this off.

A friend took a writing course at one of the top universities located in the DC area. Class was assigned to write a story dealing with nature. the one essay that included the repeated use of the Fword was heralded by the prof as an outstanding effort. This was part of a scientific writing course for a masters degree.
Banned words are being replaced by former banned words. Hard to believe Murph would sponsor hate filled lyrics while the news is full of stories of university professors condemning mother goose, Dr Seuss and Christmas songs.
It is said murphy is from the same alien planet as Obama. Both read the sequel to the book introduced in the Twilight Zone drama, 'How to Serve Man". Earthlings thought the title meant the aliens were our friends and here to help us. Just like NJ voters who elected Murphy. Reality was, it was a cook book providing recipes with humans as the main course.

Few of Murphy's voters, much like Obama's voters, can give a legitimate reason as to why they voted for him. It's all based on emotion, not logic. It's all to oppose Christie and Trump even though Christie wasn't on the ballot and Trump doesn't deal with state issues specific to New Jersey.
