The federal mask mandate for public transportation and transportation hubs was vacated Monday by U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle in Tampa.

The mandate had recently been extended to May by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Wait...I thought it wasn't even the cdc that extended it? They can recommend, but it's actually morons like the tsa that apply and enforce it?

Apparently so, but none of the appropriate procedures were followed - as is typical with the Biden administration.

I wonder if Biden will be dumb enough to appeal this. Probably.

I am kind of surprised that it took this long to get to this point.

These mandates should never have been introduced in the first place.

I am sure it will be pointed out that this is Florida and a Trump-appointed Judge. But this also takes it to the next step, and there is a real possibility that the entire mandate could be ruled illegal. Turns it into another case of the Left seeing how far they can push things before they get slapped back.

I agree, these mandates were never legal and what made me laugh was the airports and stewardesses and stewards telling everyone it was federal law. It wasn’t and never was. Wonder what all those people who were fined for not wearing masks will do next?

If someone is that terrified wear 4-5 masks if it makes you feel better. Live and let live is my approach.. say it all the time.. you do you and I’ll do me..

Glorious day!

Maybe this is the out the government secretly hoped for. They kept talking about reviewing, extending, extending, reviewing and now they can just blame a Trump-appointed Florida judge (wow, a twofer, Trump out right and DeSantis by default).

Let freedom ring.

The UK eliminated mask mandates in February. Since then, most of Europe has fallen like dominoes. US carriers have been vocal. Only a matter of time before a federal court would rule.

In contrast, most Asian carriers continue to require masks.

I actually hope Biden DOES appeal it.

The totalitarian and authoritarian impulses of the ruling junta need to be put on display, front and center, as much as possible. The more people are reminded of what control freaks the Democrats have been over the past two years, the more Democrats will be fired in November.
