Any architect will necessarily be black and preferably gay or transgendered.

As long as new government buildings don't look like current FBI HQ, I'm cool with it

Yeah, like this this is an uninspiring, tacky, giant cardboard box.

That link asks me to sign in with Google or Facebook, then asks if I want to buy or rent. Lol.

Closed the page and tried again. Finally saw the pics. Lots of glass.

You're really limiting yourself by only building in one style.
I only like the first picture of Frank Lloyd Wright's they showed. That type of house fits a rural, mountainous setting. The rest of them were ugly. Of course, my main gripe was the ugliness of new/newer federal buildings, when compared to their older siblings.

I do not like the Cincinnati Union Terminal. It doesn't do anything, for me.

Personally, for a personal home, I'm more of a Colonial/Victorian style fan (with more emphasis on the Victorian aspect). They have so much class and quality craftsmanship, more than any other style.

All I can say is, your tastes are in the minority. You could very well be the only person in the world who thinks Frank Lloyd Wright is ugly.

The architecture of DC is beautiful as it is. It does not need to be changed by a New Yorker who knows nothing about the city and the people who live there. What makes DC special from other cities is that they have height restrictions with a few exceptions like the Washington Monument and the National Cathedral.

So we all don't think govt. should be mandating culture/arts, etc...but it should mandate architecture.

Classic Architecture wasn't classic when it was first done. It became classic.

Was President Trump planning on designing each building personally? No, all the mandate required was that each new federal building had to be built in a classical architecture style, which would match many other federal buildings.
