Thx Brandon. You inherited a historic recovery and turned it into a disaster, just like everything else you inherited and screwed up.

The post covid heroin withdraw is going to be interesting. You can't print your way to prosperity if the supply chain is disrupted by authoritarian covid policy by nations like China. When's our next stimulus check going to arrive? What a joke our leaders are. Lock down a planet over a virus that kills the elderly then cripple the economy of most developed nations by disrupting the supply chain and injecting too much liquidity into the system, and then still threatening to do it some more even after all the collateral damage that has occurred and vaccines are widely available.

To their credit even the liberal publications think China's lockdowns are going too far though they're not exactly screaming in opposition.

All Biden had to do was nothing and we would be in a much better place.

Here's a good analysis...the market shrugged off the news

A Few Comments on Q1 GDP and Investment

https://www.calculatedriskblog.com/

Quote:
The advance Q1 GDP report, at -1.4% annualized, was below expectations, primarily due to a negative impact from trade and a decrease in inventories.

Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased at a 2.7% annualized rate in Q1.
It was good for click bait though

And the tortured, abused, contaminated planet's reaction to a slowdown: Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

We are beginning Stagflation. Might as well dig out those old Disco records. We have a weak Democrat in the WH, Russia at war, our own military in decline, inflation and low growth, rate hikes coming, and a big recession on the horizon.

TeamBiden story for this horrible number is —- Technical Issues as the cause.
I suspect the “technical issue” is that they couldn’t figure out a way to manipulate the numbers to hide the disaster. As usual — Build Back Better (dead in the swamp) is still TeamBiden’s solution to everything including the common cold, which is a Coronavirus.

Stagflation would be a best case scenario. Declining wages in the face of rising cost of living/40 year high inflation would be a disaster of epic proportions for the USA economy. All brought to us by Biden and his far left handlers. American voters won't forget this for a long time.
