Some of the nation's biggest brands including Coca-Cola (CCEP), Disney (DIS) and Kraft (KHC) are facing calls to boycott Twitter if the company's soon-to-be owner, billionaire Elon Musk, rolls back content moderation policies limiting hate speech and election misinformation.

In a letter sent to brands Tuesday ahead of the 2022 NewFronts digital advertising conference, more than two dozen civil society groups said marketers should secure commitments from Twitter to retain its most critical policies, including on civic integrity and hateful conduct, and threaten to withdraw funding if Twitter does not comply.
"As top advertisers on Twitter (TWTR), your brand risks association with a platform amplifying hate, extremism, health misinformation, and conspiracy theorists," the letter said, adding: "Your ad dollars can either fund Musk's vanity project or hold him to account."

who is to best what they mean is they want these brands to pressure Twitter to continue their reign of right wing censorship and promotion of left wing tweets?

Twitter has been a Democrat Party propaganda wing since inception. Musk wants to make Twitter neutral and the Left is having a melt down.

You can't make this stuff up.

The Left is fascistic.

Doesnt matter if Coke protests. Twitter will have a small pro GOP effect. Actually a smaller pro Dem effect.

Neutral people will hear everything from both sides rather than the left getting a pass.

Left people were already voting Dem and right were already voting GOP. This will have a small effect for the center and apolitical.

its not their policies that are really the issue. It's how the enforce those policies. They do not judge posts equally. I personally do not care what policies a business has but i do care that they apply it equally. Where I grew up there is this restaurant famous for cutting off people's ties, they would do it to everybody so fine. Now if they decided they would only do it to Fat Guys or White guys or Black Guys that would be a problem

Free speech platforms are like vampire repellent to the left. They cannot tolerate free speech in any form.
