that must be why it's been the most talked-about and highly reported story of all of last week.

lol, ok. can i borrow your crystal ball sometime? i need to make some investment changes

and, whether it makes a difference or not has absolutely no bearing on whether or not it was 'whistleblowing' per clara's claim. it is not, by definition.

So, we know the Supreme Courts decision on this a little bit early...? Big deal, how is that significant in anyway?

Who benefits or gains, (or looses out) due to this?

The only problem this would cause, is if the leak was inaccurate, (leaked the wrong ruling intentionally), now that would cause significant problems.
Theft of government property is a crime.

Regardless of ideology, they need to be fire and prosecuted under applicable laws.

Yes, but copying a word document and mailing it means that the original is left behind.

A crime may have occurred but theft of gov. property? Can you support that claim with anything?

The Left is a scary force. They are like a group of pack animals, like a swarm of murder hornets, like a horde of zombies.
They get their marching orders and off they go to protest, taunt, jeer and bully their target.

It is rare that we see this from people on the Right. Are they too busy with family and work or do they believe in Freedom and Live and Let Live? It takes a lot to get Righties out in to the streets but the Left takes to it like it is a hobby.

Do they really think they are going to sway someone with their intimidation tactics?

What is really scary is that these people are on the fringe of breaking down the door, attacking their target and dragging them out into the street for a beating, a tar and feathering and all the while Biden and those at the top say nothing.

In other words they approve of these Bully tactics.

Re-titled: "NPR reporter with no factual basis guesses that the document leaker is a conservative."

Now THAT is good journalism.... #sarcasm

Its funny that some people consider this to be totally shocking and terrible? Th only way such a thing would cause problems is if the leaker intentionally leaked the wrong ruling.
It's a draft. Votes can still be changed. The competing theories are:

1. A conservative clerk trying to convince a judge that is close to the middle to NOT change their vote by getting people who are opposed to abortion excited about the prospect of overturning Roe v. Wade

2. A liberal clerk trying to convince a judge that is close to the middle to CHANGE their vote by getting people who support abortion rights angry about the prospect of overturning Roe v. Wade

3. A justice for the same reasons

4. A conservative clerk or justice to get 'bad news out early' rather than closer to the election cycle

I have no idea which is most likely. I could see any of them, but I would certainly hope it wasn't #3. If it was, I would hope that justice would be impeached-liberal or conservative. The Supreme Court has been one of the most trusted institutions for a long time, and this didn't help.
