Nothing is stopping them from going to another state for their abortion.
They have to do that now if a fetal heartbeat is detected.....about 6 weeks.

They can all go to NY where you can have an abortion up to and including being in labor.

The point of this thread is, Texas is proposing stopping women from leaving Texas for other states to get an abortion.

Read through the article in the OP.

It talks mainly about increasing state aid to women and children. Even if out of state abortion is prohibited, they can still get one as long as they don’t return to Texas.

Everything is bigger in Texas; including the government.

You say that jokingly, but there is a historical precedent for such things! Would not be far of a stretch that it could become law again one day.

I could easily see this being justified today.

Great!

Drive the liberals back to their liberal hell holes that THEY destroyed in the first place by their warped ideology.

I am THRILLED with the prospect of conservative states passing laws to make them very unappealing to liberals. It is like spraying "Raid" on a cockroach infestation.

I only hope that conservative legislatures pass more laws that liberals hate, compelling them to never set foot in conservative states.

This will be like a game of "Old Maid" in which states will be battling to get rid of liberals as the bad penny that no one wants in their borders.

I doubt you'll get a response. Seems it's nothing but red meat, that the writers from the Texas Tribune threw in to start a rumor and to get people riled up. From the story in the OP:

Quote:
At least some of the more conservative members of the House said they also want to ensure strict enforcement of the abortion ban and to prevent pregnant Texans from seeking legal abortions in other states.

You say that with sarcasm but most people don’t have the freedom to avoid a murder rap by staying out of a certain state.

You know what I find scary...if a pregnant women is shot and killed, the murder, in I think 30 state, they can be charge with two counts of murder. But its legal, right now, to murder a baby up to actual birth in some states.
