My partial list was primarily higher profile politicians.
When you dig deeper on the local level and then toss in Hollywood, and whatever other public figures/celebs the list is astronomical. Not saying republicans are squeaky clean, but the amount of liberal/democrats accused and/or convicted is off the charts. I’m not factoring in cheating/extra marital affairs, that stuff doesn’t count as much. I’m looking at the crazier deviant stuff like soliciting prostitutes, pedophiles, kiddie porners, etc…

I think you are actually partially right here. Conservative types hide it because they know it is immoral. In the gay community especially gay males it is almost openly accepted. You go to a gay bar everybody knows who the "chicken hawk" is. One of the founders of NAMBLA was a fixture in the community when I was younger and in the company of some heavy hitters. Even after the crap hit the fan he wasn't shunned. Many of the intellectual types teachers, professors argue about it on an "intellectual" level.
There was always that guy in the crowd who would make inappropriate comments about how 12 year old kids looked. Nobody says a thing. Something like calling River Phoenix hot when watching stand by me. That's not normal to most. In the gay community at least a fe2 years back pedophiles hid in the open. Just as. Criminal gangs hide in the open in their hoods. Although the Catholic Church certainly had the problem as did the Boy Scouts.
People just don't seem to report pedophiles unless they are caught in the act. When I was 16 I looked like I was twelve. You can't even imagine how many creepy types approach you in the mall, at the doctors or just on the street. These days there certainly is no shortage online.
The radical fairy and rainbow gatherings a.ways attract and embrace a bunch of pedos. And at least in the privacy of their group openly endorse it if they don't think law enforcement is around or there are going to be consequences. Anybody that gives alcohol or drugs to a minor is suspect. As soon as they argue the child is mature enough to drink you can easily see where that is going.
This is sort of a weird rant on my part. Growing up gay I always had weird feelings about how some of these people were openly accepted. I had a strange life and grew up an anarchist anti-society sort of kid much like many others. However in the hippy alternative scenes there is some real creepy stuff going on.
The founder of NAMBLA David Thorstad openly hangs out with the grandson of the GOP presidential nominee who ran against FDR Wendell Wilkie. Okay you can say that is a minor claim to fame. But imagine what type of family that is. That's the Heffelfingers, Weyerhaeuser's, peavy wheat people etc. the entire family didn't care, about the fact that David Thorstad dined at their table or the fact their grandson was attracted to boys that look 12 years old.
Allan Ginsberg another one that was well known and even celebrated ran in the same circles. The list goes on and on. Especially if you begin to examine the minor to middle league gay activists.

They are everywhere in the west.
Although I think schools over here are terrified of Ofsted, which is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills.
Ofsted regularly inspects schools and makes sure they are following the national curriculum and look at exam results, observe teaching and spend time at the school.
A bad Ofsted report can be the death knell for a school ad I don't think the likes of Ofsted would be overly impressed with some of the lefts antics.
