Well, let's talk about something useful:

1. Impose a mandatory 10 years minimum sentence without parole for anybody committing any felony with any arm, not just guns. The second time, the person gets life without parole.
2. Change the procedure used in an assumed "hostage" situation. Once one shot is fired, the police must rush in immediately.
3. Hold the parents liable for the actions of their underaged children.
4. If anybody wants an abortion, offer them $5000 for voluntary sterilization as well.
5. Make a father abandoning his child a felony. For example, Obama's dad should be extradited and charged with a felony.
6. Any place choosing to disarm law-abiding citizens, such as a gun-free zone, must provide reasonable protection, such as an adequate number of armed guards, to ensure the safety of its staff, customers, or residents. They should be held liable if they fail to provide such protection.
7. Impose a gun test for every possible parolee. Do we trust him/her with a firearm? If not, the parole application is denied.
8. Banning all media from broadcasting any mass murder events.

Its simple, cannot regulate guns, without putting our rights in danger!

Our country was founded on the principle that our rights are worth dying to defend.

We simply CANNOT give up these rights, all the people that fought in any war, would become pointless if we did that.

What good is it to fight for your country, if the freedoms and liberties are taken away?!

I hope many people out there are not going to celebrate July 4th this year, (if you do, keep in mind, you are celebrating colonists that resorted to violence against their own govt)

Are you a member of a crisis response team, be it SWAT, negotiations, on scene commander, or the like?

If not.......please don't tell us* how to do our jobs. (*us as in those who actually that work. I don't think I've actually been on one but have done, to put it at its most simple way of saying, research with hostage negotiation, SWAT, ALERRT https://alerrt.org/ , others)

At first glance, all seems reasonable. I like the 10 year minimum sentence for any **edit (crime) with any weapon. Lower the age for being tried as an adult to 14 for all crimes.

the left: "police are too militarized with scary AR47 and AK15"

also the left: "police must rush in immediately during an active shooter incident armed with only a handgun and soft body armor against barricaded gunman armed with rifles and 500 rounds of ammunition"

Excellent ideas, although I’d like to see 10 years increased to 15 and capital punishment for a second time. Taxpayers already paid enough for them.

I am a libertarian, not on the left.

Personally, I support capital punishment for this sort of thing, but practically, to execute anybody in this country just costs too damn much. Life in prison is a much cheaper and wiser way of using the taxpayers' money.

I can live with that. Would love to get these ideas put into action, but we know the folks that defend and enable criminals would never have it. They’ll throw them back on the streets instead.
