I think this really captures the most important issues facing voters. The rent is too damn high, the mortgage payment is too damn high, the down payment is too damn big, the gas is too damn expensive, the food is too damn pricey.
Just putting it out there.
It think Democrats using it would be a tad hypocritical, wouldn't you say?
Divest from REIT's! They're the ones responsible for much of the rent hikes. And they appear to be price-fixing in some markets, too. They also scooped up a lot of foreclosed homes after the 2008 housing loans debacle, and are offering them as rent-to buy-schemes. They're also buying up trailer parks, raising rents and cutting services, requiring residents to cover more services themselves.
There needs to be a moratorium on new REITs, or on those involved with residential properties, while Congress figures out how to introduce regulations.

Everything is sold for as much as the market will bear at the point of sale.
Some seem to believe the government controls prices.

REITS own about 504,000 out of 142 million homes in the US.
There are concentrations in some local communities that likely compels some to perceive REITs own everything.
It is affordable... If you're living on the take. Lots of democrats are, and they figure you are stupid for not joining them. Oh how America has changed...
Lots of people are, regardless of their politics, if any.

In the immortal words of James Carville, "It's the economy, stupid".
We're caught in the eternal seesaw battle between inflation and unemployment. Right now we have low unemployment, but high inflation. The Fed is raising interest rates, which should help inflation, but will probably put people out of work.
It's called the business cycle. The only time things are really good is when we're coming out of a recession, and people are going back to work, but before the economy overheats and inflation kicks in.
Inflation hurts everyone a little bit
Unemployment hurts a few people a lot.
In 2020, the recession caused by Covid-19 put a lot of people out of work. They were suffering. But people like myself who kept their jobs enjoyed low gas prices and low prices in general. I was flying down to Florida for like $30 each way. Today, unemployment is practically nonexistent. But everything is expensive.
If Biden is going to run again I think his best slogan would be "Biden, putting it back together the way it was handed to us"
Or, "Biden we are gonna party like it is 2018".
A catchy slogan is one thing but actually not lying to our faces is another and Biden is incapable of doing.
