“Throughout June, the USMC [U.S. Marine Corps] takes #Pride in recognizing and honoring the contributions of our LGBTQ service members,” the U.S. Marine Corps said in a statement posted to social media.
“We remain committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and respect,” it added, using the hashtags #PrideMonth and #USMC. The statement is accompanied by an image of a Marine helmet adorned with six bullets, each a different color, comprising a rainbow:
China, a real threat, is laughing at us. Our Military is becoming weak!
(By the way, in my experience, most gay people do not like the pandering their "group" receives. They are not gay only in the month of June, but year round. And, most wish to live like everyone else, without special attention.).
My father, a Vietnam Marine veteran, would be rolling over in his grave. And one of his absolute best friends, who he went through boot camp and survived his government sponsored senior trip with, was gay. For that matter, his best friend would be rolling over in his grave too.
WHY? Why does our Military feel the need to celebrate any one group?
It wasn't that long ago that when you joined any branch you were taken down a notch, made to be like everyone else and then built back up with training.
Wouldn't it be better if the Marines dumped this Woke idea of celebrating gays and went back to the old days when it was all about team work and getting the task at hand completed?
There are gay people all over our society and frankly who cares. I think we should all be focused on pulling together as a team as one Nation.
Why do the Democrats separate us?
Of course, let's not forget another divisive New Holiday that is coming up this month "Juneteenth".
