Sounds like reasonable precautions for the public safety to me. Not terribly different than making it illegal to sell a crib that isn't up to today's safety standards.
Well Clara, you sure stirred up the proverbial hornets nest!
But let me add to the furor - I mean, why not?
Let's draw a comparison (we've done this before, I know). A drunk driver ... yes, you know where I am going with this. So what do we do? We could ban cars! Except we can't. Ok, next on the list - restrict gasolene! Yup, that will stop drunk drivers killing folks. But hang on. Isn't that what has already been happening? Ok, so how has that been working out with drunk drivers? I don't know, I haven't checked.
So seriously, all Biden will achieve is damaging the economy further. As has already been pointed out, cost is not going to be a limiting factor to a would be mass murderer. And think about this, how many rounds did the Uvalde * head use to kill his 21 victims? I'll let you in on it. He used precisely 21 rounds of ammunition and none of them were military overruns. Just 21 rounds of varmint ammunition. Would it have mattered if he paid a hundred dollars each? No. He was planning on dying in the process anyway.
Ever watch Johnny Quest, Monster in the Monastery? Where Dr. Quest is looking at the "uniforms" and says "There are enough here to outfit a small army." (it's right before Race talks about someone's been playing pretty rough).
Sort of felt like that last night when I was putting stuff in order in the Cat Cave, of how I really need to do a count of how many rounds I've got.
"There's enough here to arm a small army."........
Of course, the reason why we tend to be loaded is that we can go through a lot in training and we never know when the supply lines will become unstable.
So how do we change the public mentality from thinking we are trying to arm a small army to.....well, that it is all for our personal consumption........
...........or is that just the way people thing, always. I mean........"You had enough drugs in you to tranquilize a small central America country!"--Hillary Michaels looking at Sarah Owens medical physical report, Models Inc...................

On a similar thought, over the weekend, I was loading up 30 round magazines for a range trip, a round at a time. Like that, it can be a pain on these fingers, a hazard to the nails...........but it is part of the joy of marksmanship to me.
But would someone focused on a one way mission do it that way or would they use some tool for rapid reloading?
Unfortunately, I think that is rather an individual preference and not dependent on what the mission is, that it can't be used as a telltale of what the intent is.
