The best idea possible.. getting skilled talented leaders to come to FL to protect the state and contributed to society. There are constitutional freedoms that you can choose to refuse an order if it violates certain criteria. A mandated vaccine would be one of those.

I don't think it's a good thing to hire people you KNOW will walk away and refuse an order they think might harm them. Not a good starting point.

You are basically making and argument that the military can order people to do anything at all, no matter what and if they don’t follow orders, they are bad serviceman. For instance, being pregnant is not good for serving so they could order someone to abort. Anything goes, right?

They may be military guardsman but the government doesn’t own them and they are still people who should be allowed to make private health decisions based on weighing risks rather than being ordered to do so.

HEADLINE: DeSantis reestablishes Florida State Guard and touts members’ vaccine choice

QUOTE FROM LINK, my italics: Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the reestablishment of the Florida State Guard and touted it as a refuge for United States military service members who have been discharged for not complying with COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

“There are opportunities where people still want to serve, but they want to serve based on their conscience,” DeSantis said while speaking at the American Legion outpost in Madeira Beach on Wednesday.

I truly do think that DeSantis is much more suited for the presidency than Biden OR Trump!
He mimicking the KGB?

Have you ever been in the military or anywhere near them? The military can sometimes do some very unreasonable things - and you must participate. It’s not a democracy once you enlist. You neither obey orders or you don’t. You don’t get to pick n choose.

Excellent points. Sorry I can't rep you again yet.

What people don't realize is that vaccines are, more or less, permanent. This is not like most forms of birth control where someone can take a temporary "fix" and then change their minds later.

And, of course, this totally ignores the point that the COVID injections might actually be dangerous.

Thank god DeSantis made a reasonable decision to not make them follow this ridiculous order.
