Bingo
Spot on. Just found some pics of Obama's mansion on Martha's Vinyard. Great shots of how the 1% live. Oh, not a solar panel to be seen. Obama, like most Dems, only care about "climate change" as a political talking point, and as an excuse to attack capitalism. Look at all the Dems attacking Elon Musk, the man who has done more to counter CO2 emissions than anyone on the planet. If they cared about the climate, they'd be lining up to kiss his ass on Main Street-not attacking him for being successful.

Propane is a much cleaner form of energy than other fossil fuels.

But..I know. ODS.

That was not the question.

I'll ask again, how is propane produced?

Because solar doesn't work.

I have owned a "solar" house for 23 years. I put solar in quotes, because my house really runs in propane. Other than the TV, computers, and well pump everything else pretty much runs on propane.

Obama is no fool. And his home is probably much, much larger than my off-grid home.

Wait, he probably is also connected to the grid. Doesn't he know that the environmentalist have banned gas for homes???

With these, liberal politicians, you always feel like your getting scammed.

Do you push others to use solar and wind? Do you make money from green energy enterprises that get government subsidies?

THEN - maybe the elites should push propane... but they don't. They go on and on about fossil fuels being horrible.

Let me give you a hint because I feel that you and others here are too limited in intellectual honesty to research.

Propane comes primarily from natural gas processing. What do you think happens to processed natural gas?

A much smaller amount (less than 5%) is extracted from crude oil depending on the refining process.

But I guess that in your mind, propane just comes from thin air. Much like the federal budget.

Gas For Me But Not For Thee: Obama To Install Massive Propane Tanks In New England Mansion

Former President Barack Obama has ordered three massive propane tanks for his Martha’s Vineyard property as energy prices nationwide continue to surge.

The office of the select board of Edgartown, Massachusetts, told The Daily Caller News Foundation that an application for an “underground propane installment was approved at the 79 Turkeyland Cove Road address,” the location of a property owned by former President Barack Obama. The tanks are to be used for “residential purposes,” the office told TheDCNF, and have a total capacity approved of “2,500 gallons which was broken into two 1,000 gallon tanks and one 500 gallon tank.”

...
Obama has consistently argued for the importance of fighting climate change and limiting fossil fuel emissions, saying that “no challenge poses a greater threat to our children, our planet, and future generations than climate change” and pledging to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 26-28% below 2005 levels by 2025.

Obama seems to be doing just fine during the recession.
We have nG in our home. We converted from the 500 lb yard bomb. What are your thoughts on propane or nG?

Like other fossil fuels, the product of combustion is CO2, so if we're concerned with global warming, it is the same. Moreso, while the gas itself has a low global warming potential, the manufacturing process is not "green". It's also around 4X the price of natural gas-but obviously the Obamas don't have any issue there. The other big issue with propane is distribution. NG is "clean" in that it is transferred in pipelines. Propane has to be trucked to it's final destination, of course requiring fossil fuels.

Still, if he actually had any concern about the environment, Obama would spend the money on solar panels and battery banks, not propane and propane generators. But lets face it, we all know he is yet another leftist hypocrite. As bad as Al Gore.

Why not solar panels? Why not geothermal?

Obama is a hypocrite who is LAUGHING at all the liberal loons who are "sacrificing" for "global warming". Note that his mansion is ocean front. I guess he has no fear as well of "rising sea levels"!

Liberals have been played by Obama and Biden as complete fools.
since I'm no energy expert, I googled. And let me say, it's hard to readily tell if propane is better than NG or not. I suppose the first question to ask on the "is he doing better or worse?" is what is the propane to be used for, and what's it replacing?

After that, I'd wonder what obstacles there might be locally to a geothermal HVAC, as yes that would would be very environmentally friendly, if allowed.
