1) Didn't say it would, don't assume. I oppose S&F on constitutional grounds.

2) Not conflating anything, showing how criminals break the law and thus trying the "more laws" approach is a red herring in the vast majority of shootings.

I certainly support more mental health support and other things in the newest bill which may help with some of these school shootings. But for the vast majority of gun violence, it's drugs\gangs with domestic violence coming in a distant 2nd.

The leadership in many of the hardest hit parts of the US have decided that it's just far easier to blame guns and by extension political rivals than address the underlying societal issues that are causing all these shootings.

In case you never lived in a major city, are you aware that for years Chicago had this unspoken rule of basically letting the gangs slaughter each other in the bad neighborhoods and would only severely crack down if violence spilled over into nice areas? Just something to ponder because when those community leaders are upset how do you distract them? Yep, peace marches, nice speeches and blame guns.

Agreed. Likely either revenge or gang initiation if I had to guess.

We ALL have them, hundreds of millions of us. The military isn't large enough (even with an Air Force) to conquer such a task. Police might be able to use Red Flag laws against individuals, but collectively it's impossible because we're the 3rd largest country in the world and pro-2A.

Control is NOT. GONNA. HAPPEN. EVER.

I agree with the OP that all self-shooting weapons ought to be banned.

I also agree with OP that all guns walking around and self-shooting should be brought under control.

Um...you do realize that Soros opposes everything I stated, right? He is funding DAs that refuse to do their jobs, that refuse to lock up criminals, that supports the elimination of bail and that wants minimal/non-existent sentences for the occasional one that is locked up.

YES! Because these guns have minds of their own and shoot with NO human intervention! It's these damn guns that kill people, not people pulling the trigger! And how many of these cases are hood rats that YOUR elected officials have let off? Stupid liberals just never cease to amaze.

Another "nothing will change," thread. No country (US) in the history of the world has been more adept at creating social problems, nor more inept at solving them.
