Stacy Abrams was nearly bankrupt in 2019, now she's worth 21 Million...how?

https://www.ajc.com/blog/politics/ab...WbUJ7L7c2ZzmL/

https://caknowledge.com/stacey-abrams-net-worth/

She had $54k owed in back taxes to the IRS, owed $120k+ to credit card companies, just 3 years ago.

During this time, she LOST an election for Gov of Georgia.

Can anyone explain to me how this woman made $21M in 3 years?

She had to convert campaign funds in some way that made them accessible to herself, through a 3rd party org...no? I'm all ears.

Politicians for major offices tend to get rich. I doubt that it's all above board.

The Clintons were supposedly bankrupt when they left office, but now are multi-millionaires. They charge quite a bit for speeches and books have done well, so that explains much of it.

I can't imagine anyone paying to hear Abrams speak, so how she got the money (if the articles are correct) is questionable.

Disclosures in March 2022 indicate Abrams is worth $3.1 million.

In the past 3 years, "...she has earned $6 million, mostly driven by $5 million in payments for books and speeches."

Yes indeed. Earff in the Balance, Troof to Power, An Inconvenient Troof, when you're famous but essentially have no marketable skillset other than making speeches and collecting fees, you find a good ghost writer and then you "write" books and make speeches. Cha ching.

Algore was worth about one million bucks when he and the Klingons--we must remember, Hellary was co-president therefore she is not eligible to run for POTUS again--left office in 2001. Algore is supposedly worth about $300 million now.

Planting and harvesting big crops of BS, there's money in them thar fields.

Money in politics = free speech.

If you don’t agree, it means you are a liberal. A statist. A socialist.

Well her voter registration campaign was used to create a list to help her campaign all while paying her 250k a year for a part time job (and getting a few staffers indicted for creating false voter registrations). And I'm sure excess campaign funds found a way into her pocket.

She was actually a decent legislator a dozen years ago when she was minority leader. But she has tasted power and is a dirty, corrupt lying politician.

That always seems to be the way. And they will never vote themselves into term limits.
