From his own lips when asked what is the intent of the current firearm legislation.
Quote:
Jerry Nadler says the quiet part out loud: the purpose of this bill is to BAN weapons that are in common use.

This flies in the face of the Constitution, and Dems aren't honest enough to admit that they won't stop here. The SCOTUS has already confirmed/declared the use of weapons in common use. There are 20,000,000 AR15's owned by Americans.

Almost 400,000,000 firearms most of which are common use. Rifles, handguns, shotguns.

There is only one reason to disarm a populace. Unfortunately, most people are too stupid to realize that.

Side note......did someone let the air out of Nadler's head? I swear I remember that guy years ago whose head was so big I used to call him Mr. Potato head. What a lump.

IF people are interested in what he ACTUALLY said.

https://nadler.house.gov/news/docume...umentID=394886
“The Assault Weapons Ban Act would prohibit the sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of semiautomatic assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices. At the same time, it grandfathers existing semiautomatic assault weapons and contains numerous protections for law enforcement and responsible gun owners, such as hunters, gun collectors, farmers, sport shooters, and those who use firearms for self-defense.

You altered my OP and did not include what the legislation intent was ... directly from Nadler's lips. It's everywhere and easy to find. Flies in the face of the SCOTUS rulings in 3 separate cases.

Again he said when directly asked what is the intent of the legislation, he said "The intent of the legislation is to ban common use weapons".

It couldn't be more clear.

Explain that verbiage to me. So they are banning a semi auto rifle, and the many versions of it, while grandfathering in all existing semi auto rifles that they have a ban for ? That makes zero sense.

It doesn't get more clear than that. Since handguns are "common use" , will this extend to those as well ?

Clearly yes, eventually.... and add firearms like Rugur 10-22, shot guns with a pistol grip, etc. The reality is the SCOTUS has already ruled 3x that firearms in common use can not be banned.

The demoncrat party of the 50's is coming back to defy the rule of law.
