My first thought was, “I wonder if this person declined vaccination because they’re a New Age left-winger who’s into ‘homeopathic immunization’ or whatever or a post-COVID right-winger who’s decided ivermectin is the cure for everything.”
There’s a third, more tragic possibility, though. Many parents who want their children vaccinated for common diseases ended up having to delay their shots due to COVID lockdowns during the pandemic. That’s shaping up to be a major health crisis abroad, with the number of kids who haven’t received a single dose of basic vaccines ballooning from 13 million in 2019 to 18 million now. Inevitably, there are some in the U.S. who are also behind and at risk of infection from diseases we thought we had conquered.
We should wonder if this case of Polio walked itself across the Open Border?
Possibly. I like the thought that it was caused by missed vaccinations due to Democrat COVID lockdowns. There were undoubtedly thousands of missed cancer diagnoses due to the COVIDIAN Democrats. They have blood on their hands.
I fully expect to see plagues of locusts during Biden's reign of terror.

The person who has polio is a young adult and the case was identified as a revertant polio Sabin type 2 virus, indicating that it was derived from someone who received the oral polio vaccine, which contains a live but weakened form of the polio virus. Which means that most likely the person picked up the virus outside the USA because USA doesn't do the oral vaccine anymore.
So nothing to do with Biden, the pandemic, children not getting immunized.
I know all these facts destroying the made up story. Oh well.
Actions have consequences. Choose to avoid being vaccinated, that's on you. Some vaccines really are necessary to prevent diseases which used to cripple our species. Both the fringe left and right have been known to be anti-vaccers, at least until Covid when the left kind of assimilated into the collective a bit more. When enough people in their community start to contract previously conquered viral illnesses, they'll change their mind.

This is indicative of a transmission chain from an individual who received the oral polio vaccine (OPV), which is no longer authorized or administered in the U.S., where only the inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) has been given since 2000. This suggests that the virus may have originated in a location outside of the U.S. where OPV is administered, since revertant strains cannot emerge from inactivated vaccines.
