It takes a sharp mind to tell a good lie. At this point, Biden just keeps repeating the same old lies over and over again, completely oblivious that the press had already called him out on the very same lie, years ago. In some cases, he retells the same lie a week after it was already debunked by the fact-checkers with four pinocchios
Inflation by definition is a rate of increase. If it's unchanged, that's not an increase.
Nobody is saying what next month will look like. It may be the same. It may increase or decrease, his statement is accurate in context for that number.

Most definitely incorrect verbage used but I don't think anybody thought he meant that we were AT zero percent inflation.
Most definitely he was saying zero% inflation for July only.
And the fact it dropped to 8.5 from 9.1 suggests this stat to be fairly accurate.
No--- economy is not great, we still have high prices but July was not as bad as forecasters and others THOUGHT it might be.
I think some folks underate the general public's ability to decipher political chatter.
In the past while Presidents' took victory laps for winning wars, increasing stock values, fixing health care, etc.....most American voters were able to take it with a grain of salt, see through the political posturing.
Economy is not great but hopefully we are taking a turn. We may not be...August could see inflation go up again -- or not...we don't know. Forecasters were not accurate with their July predictions.....who knows.
Biden is living proof and a glaring example, that the US president today has just become an empty figure head, while policy is set by the real power behind the scenes. Government is run by a cabal of entrenched power brokers and it really doesn't much matter if there is a presdient who calls himself a Democrat or a Republican occupying the White House.

A lot of times when people have dementia but haven’t quite transitioned into outright Alzheimer’s they give themselves away. Much like a small child that doesn’t quite know how to lie yet. All you have to do is listen to Biden. Now he used to be a pathological liar but due to his mental decline he’s not very good at it anymore. He just does what he’s told or tries to. As best as he can with the few brain cells he has left.
You should notice that he’s constantly referring to “they” They won’t let me do this, they won’t let me do that, they told me this, they told me that. He’s totally 100% being handled. This guy doesn’t even know what to decide he’s having for breakfast at this point. Literally, it’s embarrassing.
