Liz Truss supports fracking shale gas, nuclear energy and a rise in British Defence Spending from over 2% to over 3%.

Truss will announce her plans in terms of the energy crisis and in relation to fuel poverty, with an energy costs price cap in terms of energy prices in the UK.

Other plans include doubling down on the deportation of immigrants, and has been very critical of woke culture.

Truss is also in favour of deregulation in terms of business, and believes strongly in free trade.

One of Truss’s few direct policies on the cost of living would be to suspend green levies on energy bills, which are used to invest in renewable schemes. She opposes onshore wind, and described seeing solar farms on farmland as “one of the most depressing sights” of modern Britain.

In contrast, she supports fracking for shale gas and reportedly wants to see a push for new drilling in the North Sea, and has backed a major expansion of nuclear power. She has not talked about efforts to reduce energy consumption, such as subsidising insulation for homes.

Liz Truss supports:
fracking shale gas -- not a fan
nuclear energy -- probably good
British Defence Spending from over 2% to over 3% -- not a fan
energy costs price cap in terms of energy prices in the UK -- might not work well
doubling down on the deportation of immigrants -- not a fan
very critical of woke culture -- I do support being critical of the racist/sexist woke culture it is divisive
deregulation in terms of business -- need more specifics, some regulation is needed for worker rights and the environment
free trade -- no idea.

In terms of energy, there is a crisis, so price caps are needed, and they will stop energy companies making excessive profits out of other peoples misery.

As for fracking shale gas, it will allow countries to buy some time whilst they change their energy mix and build nuclear plants. Fracking is no worse than bringing coal fired power stations back on line.

In terms of Defence policy, Britain needs to rebuild it's army, in order that it can bring back the mass needed to help defend Europe, whilst securing naval routes is also important, through the growth of our naval ans submarine fleet. At the same time Britain is investing in cyber, AI and other technologies, as well as space.

I fully agree with doubling down on the deportation of immigrants, as 60% of those landing on British beaches are Albanians, and Albanian organised crime is already causing misery in the UK, Europe and across the globe. Albanians are not refugees, and need to be sent back home.

I support a clamp down on the worst elements of woke culture, and the average person would also fully support this.

In terms of deregulation, the doing away with EU regulations such as Markets in financial instruments directive (MiFID), would increase the competitiveness of the UK Finance Industry, and Britain now needs to bring in it's own regulations in numerous areas, however this will not be in regard to safety standards or food standards.

As for free trade, Liz Truss signed numerous trade deals, as a Minister for Trade and Foreign Secretary, and merely wants to encourage more trade through the signing of new agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
