Glad that this was Texas since if it was California, New York, New Jersey or any other Blue State this would be considered normal behavior for an adult to say…. Especially a teacher in an authority position around small children.

I had a psych/sociology teacher in community college years ago who said that being attracted to a child isn't "wrong" but acting on it is.

Anyway, it appears that the firing was fully justified. I had never heard of "MAPs". I bet that the investigation into this woman turned up some revolting stuff.
When class starts and the teacher sometimes closes the door, who the heck knows what's going on in the classroom? What the teacher says or does? The school admin doesn't seem to know.
Do schools have cameras outside, or in the hallways? I have no idea. But hasn't anyone in school administration thought of the idea to RECORD every class session on audio or video?
Correct me if I'm wrong. When classes start students are in class and teachers begin teaching? And where is administration? Sitting in their offices? Assuming everything is a-ok?
I would be ok if all classes were live streamed on the internet for anyone to watch. But that's not going to happen. So at least record the classes for playback the next day and give parents access to the recordings. At a minimum.
The term 'MAPS' needs to be held to the fire EVERY single time it is used. It's an attempt to normalize pedophilia and every sane person should fight that.
Next they will redefine "rape" as "assault with a friendly weapon".
