Why haven't Republican economic approaches fixed a state like Mississippi? The state is dominated by Republicans and yet it's always the poorest state. Why?

I dunno.

Jackson, where the water crisis is, has been a Dem stronghold since the 80s.

And yet they blame racism for their water issues.

Do you know what this list of states is?

NJ, CO, MA, MI, MN, NH, OR, VT, WI, CA, HI

They are ALL states that are poorer than Mississippi (weaker Moody's Bond ratings by State)

https://www.city-data.com/forum/poli...ssissippi.html

So, to answer your question...The Republicans economic approach did fix Mississippi.

Here's a question for you...when are all of these Blue states listed above going to fix their economic approaches?

I'll also add that it could be viewed as being racist, to disparage such a predominantly black state as Mississippi.

It’s easier to cry racism and blame because Trump than fix it. Besides, it they fixed they wouldn’t have anyone to blame.

200 years of Democratic neglect is hard to clean up. The state senate was not Republican until 2011 and the legislature not until 2012. There's this thing called gerrymandering that the Democrats are experts at and invented that kept much of the Deep South controlled by the Democrats even though Republicans would win national elections.

“Fixed” is subjective.

What’s your next excuse?

Similarly, the Republicans didn't take over West Virginia until 2014.

So the two states you must think of as being poor were run into the ground by Democrats. Republicans have had less than 10 years to try to turn things around.

Why do you say those were the stupidest posts? Obviously you are expressing an opinion although you didn't make that part clear but you must surely have a reason for saying or thinking so, right?
