Ah yes this will make us safer . LESS SECURITY .

Not surprising from this elitist hack .

So he’s basically telling all the Americans that have suffered crime due to illegal aliens or had loved ones killed by illegal aliens that it’s all in their head? It’s just a “manufactured crisis “ ? What an insult .

The real threat facing California is the horrible politicians such as Newsom that could care less about the tax payers or legal American citizens
——
California Gov. Gavin Newsom will pull back all National Guard troops who have been deployed to the Mexican border, saying his state will play no part in Donald Trump’s “manufactured crisis.”

In his State of the State address Tuesday, Newsom will say the 360 National Guard troops in California will be redeployed to fight “real threats” such as wildfires and the war on drugs. “The border ‘emergency’ is a manufactured crisis,” Newsom will say, according to his prepared remarks. “And California will not be part of this political theater. Which is why I have given the National Guard a new mission. They will refocus on the real threats facing our state.”

President Trump needs to close the Border Crossings in the States that refuse to protect the Border.

Lock it down until they come to their senses.

We all knew he'd be worse than Brown on illegal immigration. As for the war on drugs if we didn't have such a porous border those drugs would be less likely to get in here if we secured our border. What an idiot that he can't figure that out.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom to Pull Troops From Border, Slams Trump’s ‘Manufactured Crisis’

Newsom right, it is all political theater.

The number of border crossings started falling years ago, this is not any kind of emergency. Those people are not needed to handle the border and they just serve as window dressing for Trump's political schemes. Let them go home to their families.

Good. We need adults in charge. He is right, this is a manufactured "crisis." Remember how the scary caravan was such a threat EVERY day until November 6, 2018. The next day, poof, it was not a threat. What happened on the 6th? Anyone here know???

Anyway, here is what is going to happen. "...About 100 of the 360 troops will remain deployed under California's agreement with the federal government to focus specifically on combating transnational crime such as drug and gun smuggling, Newsom spokesman Nathan Click said. Specifically, they will be tasked with providing intelligence on transnational crime and assist with cargo dock operations and searches of commercial trucks for contraband..." First New Mexico and now California. The border states are telling Trump where he can stuff his manufactured "crisis." I love it. This is how you deal with a petulant manchild. You simply refuse to play his game.

Four months into the fiscal year the Border Patrol nabbed nearly 201,500 people, compared to about 109,500 at the same point in the previous year. If that 84 percent surge holds, it works out to 733,000 immigrants crossing illegally for fiscal year 2019, which would be by far the highest numbers in more than a decade.
And the new surge is comprised of migrant families and children, which are a much tougher population to combat, thanks to U.S. policies imposed by Congress and the courts that make it tougher to deport them.
“Family units and unaccompanied children from Central America are crossing the border illegally in greater numbers and in larger groups than ever before, straining our law enforcement resources,” said Brian Hastings, U.S. Border Patrol Chief of Operations. “These trends are very concerning and demonstrate the reality of the ongoing humanitarian and border security crisis.”

The number of families nabbed through the first four months of fiscal year 2019 is up 290 percent compared to the same point in 2018, authorities said, with mini-caravans of hundreds of people now a regular occurrence.

Two points to consider.

First of all 2018 was one of the lower years (not the lowest), so any jump would look big. This is a 'snapshot' of one season against another, not a long term examination. Secondly it is the border patrol picking up these people, not the National Guard.

I found this interesting article about the illegal immigration issue and it puts the current situation in a bit more context.

My point is, the situation is not unmanageable, and the 'crises' is more in people's heads. It's not that the case is worse at all, it's that people are aware of it more than before, sometimes with mistaken notions one way or another. There is value in securing the border, but we have ways of handling that efficiently without sending the National Guard out to shovel horse manure out of stalls.

Right, 30,000 illegals crossing our border every single month but it's no crisis. Calif. is the most illegal alien friendly state in the union along with their sanctuary cities. They don't want the flow to stop so they have an ulterior motive.
