The older Hispanics tend to be more conservative because they are hardcore Catholics

The younger ones tend to be more liberals until they found Jesus and/or move up in social class/wealth, then they will vote Republican

Oh, you mean Trump/GOP’s hardcore anti illegal immigration stance (especially those from Central America) in the last 6 years, including child separation, didn’t sway Hispanic voters from GOP….until DeSantis and Abbot started sending migrants to sanctuary cities?

Interesting

The Democrats lost a significant percentage of the Latino vote between 2016 and 2020, even if they still have more of the Latino vote than the Republicans.

Just losing that percentage to the GOP hurts them in the overall split of votes between the parties.

It should be noted that the GOP had its peak of Latino voter in 2004 during GWB.

The VP selection of Kamala Harris was a terrible choice for the Democrat Party and its future. The party needs to figure a way so that she out of the picture and Biden does not run again in 2024.

Here's the reason that more Latinos voted for GWB in 2004. Again, it was about his pro-"immigration" stances.

Beto is such a silly douchebag.

Complete fool that couldn't get elected to run on his neighborhood HOA.

Bozo O'Rourke and Biden are both good reasons to vote GOP.

That's been my experience from 20+ years living in Texas.
Back in the late 70's -- took a political science course. In our small groups it was asked how many of the kids voted the same as their parents. It wasalmost 100% of the kids who voted the same party as their parents. They were all white kids.

So are white kids tribal?

Lots of cultures -- including Italian -- have generations living in the same house. I'm not sure that means they all vote liberal.

Beto just went up against the established Democratic Party. That informs me. IMO, his assessment is correct.
