I think Latinos are paying close attention to what the governors in Florida and Texas are doing to immigrants and don't like what they see. Be careful what you wish for.

Latinos like everyone else vote their wallet first. The democrats are going to get obliterated this election cycle except for the races they can steal.

Nothing condescending about the truth! All the polls prove out that the majority of Latinos want amnesty for their ethnic group here illegally and that equates to a tribal mentality. It is one of the main reasons that they continue to vote for the Democrats.

Bob is a weak candidate. Always has been. Just look at the guy when he's speaking. Weakness oozes off of him.

Nobody outside of El Paso has ever elected him and I predict that nobody anywhere will in the future. He just happens to be the only Democrat in Texas with name recognition and it doesn't hurt that he's pretty well connected to the donor class.

He's the movie star which is the reason that people buy the tickets. IOW, nobody's giving the Democrats money to support a no-name candidate against a sure-thing incumbent, and Texas is a big state which means there's a lot of money at stake, regardless of favorability. If they can get the People engaged enough, everyone makes a ton of money. Enter the movie star.

People are such suckers, I swear.

Most Hispanics are upwardly mobile and hard working. Once they gain some real wealth, houses, cars, businesses, investments, etc, have something to lose, they vote Republican. Like 2nd and 3rd generation Mexicans in Texas are very conservative.

Plenty of non-Cuban Hispanics vote GOP in Texas.

Immigration is still a big deal with them generation after generation and is why they continue to vote Democrat in large numbers.

Hispanics are still socially liberal, pro-working class and view Demwits as the party of the working class. Obama outperformed expectations with them, so they are reverting back to the norm.
