Nothing. I don't think it's going to happen, at least not in the way that it's being portrayed, and even if it did play out that way, there's nothing we can do to prepare anyway. I grew up less than two miles from a top 10 target, and I was grateful for it. No suffering. It's just over.
Don't bother trying to prepare. If you are at ground zero of the blast or nearby, you won't know what happened. If you are several hundred miles away you will be fine. Radiation pills won't save you.
We don't have underground bunkers or even basements here where I live near the ocean.
What have you done at this point to prepare?
With whom we have in office, I feel it is inevitable to happen.
I'm preparing by trying to find out where the bomb will land, so I can be sure to be at ground zero when it detonates and be killed instantly. Why would anyone want to live in a post-nuclear apocalypse world?

Mostly just stockpiling food. But I don't think I'm gonna make it.

It would be pretty great after the first couple years.
Hopefully, it will be quick. No suffering, no pain.
If you really want to prepare something to make you feel better, sure, buy some iodine pills and store drinking water in a basement.
This said, if you are able to, move away from military base or military target. I don't think even Russia would think about target large cities.
There is a reason why the U.S. picked Hiroshima as a target. It was viable military target (Hq of the Combined Fleet was there), it was untouched by the war and surrounded by mountains to contain the blast. So military target in a less populated place will be more dangerous in my opinion.
There’s nothing to prepare for. If it happens we’re all goners.
That's not true, with certain assumption of course. The posibilities, outcomes and consequences are endless.
There is ALWAYS something you can do even if that something is ending the suffering of another.
Young people must live on in any event, so that's my concern, for my children and grand kids.
