When people say or write George Soros is really just a tongue in cheek way of meaning something entirely different, which I will not state.
he has the money and uses it to influence destructive policies, fund entities that go after traditional institutions. just because he thinks his causes are noble, doesn’t mean they are. just ask Hungary
He is a capo in the oligarch army. He has one job and he does it rather well. He is in charge of funding divisional policies.
It’s a very simple job description and that is keep the pawns (we the general populace) fighting amongst ourselves. In so doing, the pawns lose track and/or become too distracted in the never ending, zero sum battle of Democrat vs Republican to pay attention to who really runs the world.
His contributions may seem worthy on the surface but when he funds a Woman’s March for Equity, for example, he could care less about whether women have equal rights, he only cares about the division that the event creates.
He is a human bowling ball and he does it well! But make no mistake, this man is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Pure black hearted evil.

He got out of WWII as a 14-year old jewish teen by pretending to be German and ratting out fellow jewish folks in their hiding places (60 minutes interview with Steve Kroft '98 - straight from the horse's mouth). He established his career by being a rat. "If I hadn't done it, someone else would have" is the favorite motto of Uncle Georgie as the Hungarians call him.
His philanthropic work is to pump money into NGOs that make 3rd world economic migrants' entry into Europe as smooth as possible in order to establish his grandiose idea of an 'Open Society' where there are no individual nations with borders, only one big melting pot of mixed ethnicities and cultures. For some peculiar reason this is his idea of an utopian future.
Everyone has a dream. Folks around here in Central Europe and many other regions think his ideas are not really for the greater good. Nonetheless he has the money and connections to act upon his ideas and dreams. He's not the most likable figure in current history according to some.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. But I seriously doubt he has ever had good intentions. He has basically made a living profiting off the suffering, misery and misfortune of others. What he has done with those profits has been very destructive to western societies, depending on who you ask. He has tried to use his wealth in other parts of the world to shape policies, but they typically ban him, so we in the west are stuck with him unfortunately.
