Even Canada (well, Alberta at least) is starting to apologize for their draconian covid policies, asking those that were fired to come back to work. LOL
Great ruling. Only 18 months late. Justice delayed is justice denied.
How many people already lost their jobs over the mandates? How many were coerced into taking a vaccine they opposed taking, just to keep their job?

Besides job loss the stress caused by things like the mandate took years off of people's lives after many lost a couple of life as they know due to lockdowns, masks, passports etc.

For those who were coerced into taking the 'vaccines' to keep their jobs, if they suffer serious vaccine injuries, I wonder if they can sue the employer that mandated the vaccine? Maybe the employer will say: "You were not forced. You could have resigned, but you chose to take the vaccine and stay."
You can’t sue Pfizer or Moderna if you have severe Covid vaccine side effects. The government likely won’t compensate you for damages either.
Under the PREP Act, companies like Pfizer and Moderna have total immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with their vaccines.
Victory for NYC workers, including NYPD, FDNY. So will the police and firefighters fired for vaccine noncompliance be rehired and compensated? If it's unconstitutional for them, how can it be constitutional for others?
The ruling is based in Collective Bargaining. Essentially, the city changed terms of the contract without going through the proper Collective bargaining process. It doesn't affect positions that aren't collectively bargained, and likely doesn't affect those who have yet to be hired. The city can still mandate as a condition of employment for new hires, as they are not yet part of the bargaining unit.
Similar cases have come down against employers who have mandated without carving out room for medical or legitimate religious exemption, but none that I know of that outright prohibit vaccination as a term of employment.

From watching the video it seemed to be because the city mandated public employees be vaxxed but not private sector ones making it arbitrary and capricious since the virus doesn’t care about whether you’re a public or private employee

The city only mandated for their own because the city only has power over their own employees when it comes to conditions of employment. The city can regulate the private sector through existing regulatory and licensing avenues, but they can't tell a private company who can and cannot be on the payroll.
Remember, leftists and covidians said there was never a vaccine “mandate”
They will just move the goalposts, like always. The vaccine was originally supposed to stop the virus from spreading. Now, these same clowns stand up there and shout to the heavens that "the vaccine was only intended to lessen symptoms, not stop you from getting covid".
They just disregard anything they want to.
