Wow. This was glorified trespassing.

Here's a BLM rioter convicted of ARSON, and he was only sentenced to 9 years!

Here's ANOTHER BLM arsonist who actually KILLED SOMEONE inside the store he burnt down only receiving 10 years!

Absolute absurdity that anyone on "J6" would receive anything more than even a year in prison. They trespassed into a taxpayer funded building. I could see a few months for that and then a year if you assaulted a cop. That's it!

I'm all for punishing people who riot and illegally enter the Capitol building, but 18 years seem grossly out of place here, considering people have done far worse, and they get pardons and or lighter prison sentences.

The Weather Underground was a successor group to the Weatherman faction of Students for a Democratic Society. They engaged in a widespread campaign of bombings in the early 1970s, in opposition to the war in Southeast Asia.

On March 1, 1971, Weather Underground members planted a bomb in a men's restroom one floor below the chamber of the U.S. Senate. They used a stopwatch connected to a fuse to control the time of the explosion and issued a warning by telephone half an hour before the bomb detonated. The blast devastated the bathroom, smashing the plumbing fixtures. The doors to the Senate barbershop were torn off their hinges and crashed through a window ending up in a courtyard. Lighting fixtures, plaster and tile were damaged in the corridor. A stained glass window in the Senate dining room was badly damaged.

The leader of the Weather Underground was a friend of the Obama's. No 18 year prison term for any of them.

Israel Rubinowits, an Israeli visiting the United States, entered the Capitol on October 18, 1983, and went to the visitor's gallery of the House of Representatives. He was observed manipulating what appeared to be a bomb. When approached by four plainclothes officers, he threatened to detonate the bomb before being subdued.

Rubinowits later pled guilty to a reduced charge of disturbing Congress and received a six-month jail sentence which was suspended when he agreed to be deported to Israel and never return to the United States.

No 18 year prison term for him either.

The Communist Organization was a women-led successor to the Weather Underground.

On November 6, 1983, two members of the group assembled a bomb in a restroom at the Capitol that failed to go off. The following day, they returned and assembled a second bomb, which detonated, causing extensive damage but no casualties.

After an investigation that lasted four and a half years, seven people were charged for the Capitol bombing and seven other bombings on May 12, 1988, Laura Whitehorn was released after serving 14 years in prison. Linda Evans was released after 16 years when President Bill Clinton commuted her sentence.

No 18 year prison term for any of them.

Trespassing in a government building? They followed in people that brutally beat up police and broke windows and doors. Whether they took any violent action or not this was not some walk in the park, they had to know they should not be part of this.

If you were in the capitol that day and saw that assault, would you say this is my chance to tour the capitol.

Hopefully the next President (Trump or DeSantis) will pardon the J6 paraders and compensate them with $5M each for the troubles and cancel the Fascist Ba*tards Inc.

This stopped the vote certification of a president, this was a coordinated assault on the capitol not seen since Lincoln.

Trump is probably going to be in there with the Oath Keepers, and DeSantis can’t get the rats out of his head long enough to launch a campaign.

Who else you got…?

Yes, trespassing. As opposed to BLM who BURNED DOWN several government buildings that Summer.

Dude watch the footage. 99% of these people were old stumblebums with iphones doing exactly that, touring the capitol! A select few "fought" with police, but none were "brutally beaten." Many of the police were walking around BS'ing with these people and letting them in! A couple of them messed up papers on Nancy Pelosi's desk and one of them stole a laptop. A few of them committed petty vandalism. Send all of them to jail for a year, MAX!

This was a glorified trespassing event. It was 1/1000th the intensity of any dozen of BLM riots that Summer, where literal buildings were burned to the ground, millions of dollars of merchandise was looted, and over 30 people were MURDERED.

The only person killed in "J6" was one of the protesters! Imagine if one of the people pushing over the white house barrier in the Summer was shot by one of the cops there.

If the likes of antifa or BLM stormed the Capitol they would have brought weapons and there would have been far more destruction than what the amateur Oath Keepers did.

I think the penalties these guys are getting are excessive and if it was a Leftist group that acted out they would not be in so much trouble.
How do you know rioters after the George Floyde murder were not arrested and prosecuted? Your just making lot of assumptions.

Oath Keepers and Proud Boys were proven to be the ones who planned the attack on the capital. They paid for people to fly there the money came from stop the steal campaign. They brought weapons assuming Trump would call on them to use those weapons. Reality is Trump didn't care about them he didn't even pardon them when he could. They were still dumb enough to support Trump after going to trial.

They knew the risk now they will pay for it Roades won't get out of prison until he is 76 years old. Maybe he will eventually figure out that Trump never cared about him.

Soon,....this will all change~

The last 7 years have been a crazy assault on political opposition by Democrats.

It started with Obama and Biden wiretapping Trump's campaign. Then it was the FBI trying to railroad him with their actual agents talking about plans to get rid of him.

Then it was Chris Steele and Hillary's bought and paid for "pee tape."

Then it's "Russia" and that hoax, 45 million dollar investigation later.

Then the fake story of "Russian bounties."

Then impeachments that were show with absolutely no ability to succeed.

Then the collusion with the social media giants to suppress information about the Bidens, etc.

I've never seen the levers of government more abused by a political party, and people here actually applaud it!

It's no wonder a lot of people were very frustrated on 1/6. This is all very bad for our country and I think the Democrats are going to pay a price for all of this very soon.
