Advertisements

Does anyone have a source that's credible? I might have to cancel Spotify again.

The following advertisers have stopped advertising on
@ElonMusk's @Twitter
after they seem more comfortable with Left censorship of millions of Americans:

@Pfizer

@GeneralMills

General Motors

@Audi

@MDLZ
(maker of Oreos)

@VW

I would like this list also. I haven't had any additions to my "go woke, go broke" shopping list in almost a week. I have heard Volkswagen and L'Oreal mentioned as two of them.

Pfizer knows they're going to be exposed for the charlatans that they are now that Twitter won't censor tweets criticizing those criminals.

If this is Mondelez, and I suspect it is, they have their hand in a ton of popular products, Oreo's being but just one.

This was a big miss on Elon's part. The advertising industry is built around brand safety. With 3P going away, the reliance on 1P and contextual is becoming critical. He failed to understand the digital advertising industry... OR he plans on revolutionizing it. Either way, this move by advertisers is well aligned with the industry and shouldn't surprise anyone. Brand safety is a big business.

This isn't some backlash from advertisers/brands as some are making it out to be.

These same advertisers stayed with Twitter long after it was acknowledged that posters were promoting and distributing child porn through the site. They didn't leave out of any sense of morality.

I smell a rat here. Elon clearly wants to make Twitter a payment platform. And of course then he will raise the amount of money. A great way to convince people to pay is to suggest they have to because of losing advertisers.

Not buying this at the moment.
