Trump became president because he had dirt on the Falwells(which has since been exposed) that got him that endorsement and the evangelical vote despite his character and the fact he supported partial birth control, gun control, etc. Heck he was ready to throw due process out the window in favor of gun control until his advisors and the NRA reeled him in.
