The Peacock channel has a documentary on some of the folks who stormed the capital. One guy bragged to a woman on a dating platform that he was in the capital building that day. She called the FBI. Some really mixed up brainwashed people. The woman in this story was not in the documentary. Its good she got convicted. Not a fan of Pelosi but really hate thieves and Americans who are Russia supporters much more. She should have been charged with treason.

Woman convicted of storming Pelosi’s office in Jan. 6 attack

Williams joined a mob’s attack on the Capitol after attending the “Stop the Steal” rally, where then-President Donald Trump addressed thousands of supporters earlier that day. Entering Pelosi’s office, she found a laptop on a table and told another rioter, “Dude, put on gloves,” before someone with a black gloved hand removed the computer, according to prosecutors.

Williams later bragged online that she stole Pelosi’s gavel, laptop and hard drives and that she “gave the electronic devices, or attempted to give them, to unspecified Russian individuals,” prosecutors said in a June 2022 court filing.

Williams was wearing a shirt bearing the message, “I’m with groyper,” when she entered the Capitol. The term “groyper” refers to followers of “America First” movement leader Nick Fuentes, who has used his online platform to spew antisemitic and white supremacist rhetoric.

Meh. In New York City, the cops wouldn't even have filled out a police report on that incident because it doesn't meet the minimum threshold for the police to get involved. But get some rowdy folks in the Capitol building and suddenly a petty theft becomes a crime that deserves a lengthy prison sentence.

A guy named Fuentes spewed white supremacist rhetoric?

Rowdy republicans I think you mean. Never mind the Summer of 2020 Burning Cities. No charges, no arrests, no problemo. Mostly peaceful burning buildings, assaults, and murders.

This is federal property. The NYC cops would not have jurisdiction. Why not just condemn criminal behavior? Instead of rationalizing it?

Just another patriot defending her country. LOL

She called the FBI brainwashed, now that's funny.

Amazing how these people will believe anything.

The FBI sat on it for about a year, that is common knowledge.

Prostituted?

What she and others did is no more and maybe even less than what blm antifa had done during the summer of love. Yes, they all should have been prosecuted but not imprisoned for 16 years or so.

Her crimes:

Felonies:
Interfering with law enforcement officers during a civil disorder
Resisting or impeding law enforcement officers

Misdemeanors:
Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds
Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
Disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol Building

Which adds up to imprisonment for 16 years for what amounts to is not so peaceful protesting at a federal building. Meanwhile, many in blm antifa walked free.

I wonder if she would have even been charged if she'd given "the big guy" his 10%?

edit to add:
Thread title is incorrect, she was not convicted of trying to sell the laptop, or for stealing it either.

You should be punished when you break the law. She broke the law. Case closed.
And she should get the same punishment that the rioters of 2020 did, especially the ones who attacked federal buildings, and that punishment would be a big fat NADA.
