I know one group, online side hustlers buying and selling products; they just added a new "economic law" a few weeks ago. If you sell more than $600 on a site such as ebay during the course of a year, any amount over is now required to be reported and taxed.
I agree with the premise of this thread, as the government has been fiscally irresponsible; as even a HS student understands when you massively increase supplies of fiat currency...said value is lost.
It's why I game the system, as they are hell bent on doing it to us.
They sprinkle just enough money crumbs around to pacify the masses who
keep working harder and longer, yet remain stuck financially.

As for stimulus and bailouts, I understand that's more about keeping the economy going and not letting it crash. Gosh I remember the auto industry bailouts during the Obama years I think it was. I guess some of these companies get too big to fail and their failure ends up hurting the country. That said, there's not enough of a requirement on those bailouts to make the companies give back when their fortunes turnaround.

I never got any of the stimulus money because people who live in high CoL areas tend to get punished on that, but I see why it's done and it's not to bail people out of some poor decision, but an attempt to keep them spending.

I agree with you about subsidizing the education for those in professions that are as much in demand and where shortages agree such as those you mentioned. I have read that there are employers who will offer to pay off at least some of a potential employee's ( ie, such as a doctor, nurse, other healthcare professional) if they're hired and stay for a specified length of time.

We got some of the stimulus money they were handing out in 2020, twice, I think. We didn't want it, didn't need it and I wished there was a way to return it. But we ended up donating the money to several nonprofit groups who we figured would put the money to good use.

Or help some banks recover from lending practices they knew to be unsustainable. But that could never happen.

Yup. There is no rule of law anymore. It's a complete and utter free-for-all out here.

I am aware of that new law and it is ridiculous. I buy and sell hobby stuff online. I might buy something locally at a yard sale, fix it up and sell it on line. This has been a great way for me to fund my hobbies but now there is that $600 cap. It has caused some to simply stop selling.

Of course what this will do is drive more people "underground" and they will continue to deal face to face and use cash. There is however a push by the Feds to do away with cash. How many people still use it when it is so convenient to swipe a card?

Our Government is out of control with spending. It wasn't that long ago when $100 million was a lot of money but now they toss around $100 Billion for their pet projects. It is insane.

If we ran our households the way our Elected Elites run the country we would be living in a van down by the river.

If we ran our finances the way the government does, we would be imprisoned for fraud/money laundering.

Anarchy is the goal, because that gives them the excuse to militarize their regime, while justifying it to themselves in their twisted little minds.

The goal is to keep this con game going for as long as possible. No politician or central wanker wants it to collapse on their watch. Hence the game of lend, extend, and pretend. They will print a quadrillion dollars and nationalize the entire economy before they allow anyone or anything to fail.

I've never been a fan of bailouts. I thought Obama did the wrong thing with the bailouts and too big to fail in 2008. And we've been going down that slippery slope since. However, I'm aware that our economic system has had problems since way before that. This didn't just happen in 2022.
