I remember even before we had a pandemic or one case in the United States I knew it was coming Fauci of course told Trump he could keep it under control with tracking anybody that came down with covid and make sure that they were all isolated. That didn't work out plus the CDC messed up because they're testing apparatus was no good and they were doing five tests a week which was ridiculous so for the first few months there was no testing .The tracking was wishful thinking with Fauci at the helm stating he could keep it under control and telling Trump the same thing then when all those planes came out of Wuhan and went all over the globe. Americans who visited other countries came back infected ,some from Italy and God knows where else Fauci was a mess the CDC was a mess. They created an atmosphere of Mo Larry and Curly dealing with people's lives.

The CDC and infectious disease administrations had one freaking job, and they couldn't even do that when the time came.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in February or March of 2020, when the CDC and Fauci told Trump

1. No - we cannot perform enough COVID-19 tests, because we have an FDA rule preventing us from doing that, and the tests we do have are contaminated
2. No - we don’t have enough PPE in the stockpile, because we never restocked any of it after the SARS and H1N1 outbreak
3. No - we don’t have enough ventilators, even though we were told about insufficient numbers almost two decades ago.
4. Oh, but we spent $106 million on a really nice visitor center decorated with waterfalls and Japanese gardens and a $200,000 fitness center with saunas and zero-gravity chairs.
