The left wants DeSantis. Because of that fact, Trump gets my vote.
I don't know about that, but a lot of people on the right -- myself included -- want him. Hmm, imagine if he were popular with both the left and the right. We haven't had that since Reagan, except for George W. Bush in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

They would vote for somebody like Fetterman or Biden before Desantis. He is too far right on too many issues.

He didn't use to be (then neither did Trump). But having to run and pretend right to attract the MAGA vote will make it much harder for him in the general. It should be pretty easy to hang the Trump stench on him like the Dems did with Republicans in the mid-terms.
I'm hoping for a third option: Trump, seeing that he can't win and is dividing the Republican party, bows out gracefully and throws his support to DeSantis, urging his supporters to do likewise.
(You can't imagine how hard it was to type that sentence with a straight face!)
Well, I certainly couldn't read it with a straight face!
As if Trump would ever put anyone ahead of himself. Funny stuff!
Trump will get beat by DeSantis in the first couple primaries. Trump will declare they were rigged by the elites and RINOs and that the only thing for him to do is start the MAGA party to clean house.

You can't be serious. DeSantis is Trump with a a third of a brain, as opposed to Trump's actual 5% (and I'm being generous here). Last thing this leftie wants is DeSantis. If you want to continue with the theme "brainless on the right", your best bet is Greene. Or maybe Cruz.
Polls don't matter. Trump will either win the nomination or destroy the Republican party. He has 30% that is never going to leave him. Republicans better give him what he wants.
That 30% is more like 3%.
