What is the answer to this stuff?
What they did was against the committee rules, but in no way comparable to those items you mentioned. They will be reinstated to their elected positions again because they were exercising their first amendment rights. This is just another in a long series of items where the country continues to go downhill, and people have no confidence about the future at all.

My friends in Nashville have been posting wishing they weren’t there. I’ve heard from about twenty of them on FB tonight.

Uh, nope.

Brilliant synopsis, but tragically short on analysis.

Care to elaborate? The Tennessee republicans just brought a lot of new voters out of their chairs and into the booths to vote against them in 2024.

Turn about is fair play.

Throw them in prison, then deal with them when you get around to it, even if it is a year from now.

LOL. They kicked out 2 of the 3. The one they didn't is white. They literally could not have done this worse. They've made the other people into heroes on the left who will simply re-win their election. And theyve damaged the GOP brand worldwide. Nicely done.

What's going on in Tennessee is absolutely terrifying. 6 people were shot and killed last week in an elementary school. And what are republicans doing about it? They're expelling democrats from Congress for peacefully protesting for stricter gun laws. Insanity.

The far-right is out of control and I don't think Republicans in TN realize what they've done tonight. There is a grass roots fire that continues to burn amongst Gen Z and stuff like this is only making it worse. I think Republicans are going to get creamed in 2024, locally and in Washington.

Gen Z saved America in 2020 by showing up in droves to vote Donald Trump out of office and I think it's gonna be even worse for the GOP next fall.

No doubt now that the Republican Party is the modern Dixiecrat Party. Let’s expel the 2 black male legislators and keep the white female.

The R’s in Tennessee wave the Stars and Bars proudly.

Give into MOBS wherever, whenever, whatever they demand?

That’s a serious question.

At worse they should have lost their committee assignment and at best been censored. Being expelled is like killing a mice with a 12ga.

Oh and lets not forget, this is a state with a HUGE R advantage. So its not even politics, its just being petty and insane. And the voters of that state are going to have to spend the money to run these re-elections where these folks will simply win by a landslide........wild.
