I doubt if God will respond. Another person wholly unqualified to hold public office.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) is facing significant blowback following her Tuesday announcement that she is asking the Federal Emergency Management Agency to cover all of the cleanup costs from last Friday's series of tornados that killed nearly three dozen people and caused extensive damage throughout the Bear State.

The problem is that Sanders has repeatedly railed against federal involvement in state and local issues.

#1: Why is she "unqualified"? Is it because she is a woman? Why do you think a woman should be "unqualified" to hold this office?

#2: What is the "problem", that the article claims there is? I do not have the time to prevue your article, but Governor Sanders is supposed to put the residents of Arkansas before her own beliefs. And, if requesting federal aid benefits the residents of Arkansas who have been devastated by mother nature, despite her own beliefs, then she is doing exactly what is required of her. That is how government is supposed to work.

I agree that states should have a rainy day fund to cover these types of devastations, but I give Governor Sanders some slack, because she has only been in office for a few months.

Do the people of Arkansas not pay federal taxes? If the federal government helps with hurricanes and wildfires, why not tornados?

She did not say "ask god for the money". Quit lying.

That's a weak argument. Where's her plan for her first 100 days? Didn't she realize this was tornado season and her state is in tornado alley?

What do you expect from Sarah, she got everything from Daddy and has not clue what life is like without living off her Family name. She has Nepotism brain.

Simple question:

If I live in Arkansas and pay taxes to the federal government, why shouldn't my state receive the same benefits as other states when bad things happen? Was Arkansas offered a FEMA opt out that they declined? Till doesn't seem to understand that being compelled to participate in something doesn't mean you support it. There are always alternatives to an imposing, overbearing federal nanny state that no one asked for and few desire.
